FAQs about Curtain Tracks & Poles
Curtain track or curtain pole - which should I choose?
Choose a track if you want the smoothest glide, ceiling-mount options, bent bay solutions, or you’re hanging heavy/interlined curtains. Tracks also support Wave headings (specialist gliders/tape). Choose a pole when you want a decorative look with visible finials or you’re using Eyelet curtains (eyelets must run on a pole). Both can work on straight windows; we’ll recommend the best option at survey.
Can you supply and fit tracks for bay windows and awkward shapes?
Yes. We measure and template the bay, then supply a made-to-measure bent metal track for continuous, snag-free glide around corners. If you prefer a pole, we can specify bay poles with passing rings/brackets, though tracks usually give the smoothest result on multi-angle bays.
Do you offer corded or motorised tracks, and which is best for heavy Curtains?
We supply corded and uncorded tracks for easy draw without handling the fabric - great for tall or wide spans and motorised tracks for push-button or app/voice control. For heavy or interlined curtains, a high-spec metal track (corded or motorised) spreads the load and protects the heading. Both wall- and ceiling-fix options are available, including Wave-compatible systems.
