FAQs about Wave Curtains
What are Wave Curtains, and do they need a special track?
Wave is a heading system that uses evenly spaced gliders on a cord and a matching Wave heading tape to create smooth, ripple-like folds. It’s designed for a track (ceiling or wall-fixed) rather than a standard pole and can also be motorised for large or hard-to-reach spans.
Will Wave Curtains work on bay windows and wide openings such as doors/bi-folds?
Yes - made-to-measure tracks can be bent to follow bays and straight runs handle wide spans cleanly with a low-profile track that lets fabric glide and stack off the glass. We will have to template the bay first and specify the right aluminium/steel track for strength and smooth movement.
How much space do Wave curtains need when open, stack and front-to-back?
As a rule of thumb, 80 mm waves stack approx. 18 cm per metre of track. 60 mm waves stack approx. 23 cm per metre. The 80 mm option gives a deeper, more dramatic wave (projects further front-to-back), while 60 mm is shallower for tighter recesses. Your track width should allow for this stack, so curtains clear the glass/view when open.
