The blind sits neatly against the glass, within the frame, and moves with the window or door when opened. With no drilling or screws required, it provides a clean, integrated finish that keeps windowsills clear.

How Perfect Fit Day & Night Blinds Work

Perfect Fit Day & Night Blinds use two layers of fabric with alternating sheer and opaque horizontal bands. As the fabric moves, these bands pass across one another, changing the amount of daylight and visibility through the blind.

Aligning the sheer sections allows softly filtered daylight into the room while maintaining a degree of daytime privacy. Moving the opaque bands across the sheer sections provides increased privacy and reduces incoming light without requiring the entire blind to be lowered or raised.

The fabric is housed within a made-to-measure Perfect Fit frame that clips into compatible uPVC windows and doors without drilling. Because the complete blind moves with the opening window or door, it maintains a neat appearance and leaves windowsills clear.

Things to Consider

Perfect Fit Day & Night Blinds are designed for flexible daylight control and privacy rather than blackout performance. Although selected blockout fabrics are available, this describes the fabric itself and does not mean the complete blind will make a room fully dark.

Light can still enter between the alternating fabric layers and around the edges of the fabric and Perfect Fit frame. They can work well in bedrooms where adjustable light control and privacy are the priorities, but other products provide substantially better light reduction.

For customers who need a much darker sleeping environment, particularly shift workers, light-sensitive sleepers or nurseries, our specialist Blackout Blind Screen may be more suitable.

For privacy during darker evenings, the opaque fabric bands must be positioned so they fully overlap the sheer sections. If the bands are left partially open while interior lights are switched on, visibility into the room may increase.

Day & Night fabrics are not normally recommended for bathrooms or other areas exposed to high moisture. In kitchens, they should be positioned away from sinks, hobs and areas affected by grease or steam.

The Perfect Fit system also requires compatible glazing beads and sufficient clearance around handles, vents and adjoining frames. We will check suitability during your Free Home Visit and recommend the most appropriate option for your windows or doors.
